Check out this free step-by-step Sunflower Bracelet pattern — a simple Right Angle Weave bracelet beading tutorial.
Right Angle Weave, also referred to as RAW, is an incredibly versatile bead weaving stitch. You can use it to make flat pieces of jewelry or even 3-dimensional designs. It's one of my favorite techniques.
I created this seed bead bracelet pattern. It's called the Sunflower Bracelet and it has become my most popular free beading pattern to date.
I recommend this beading tutorial for intermediate skill levels but as long as you're comfortable with Single-needle Right Angle Weave, have at it.
The Sunflower Bracelet is a simple two-row design and I have made both a written tutorial and a YouTube video for it.
Below, you'll find the full tutorial but you can also enter your information in the form on this page to receive a FREE digital copy of this bracelet.

Oh wow! I'm so happy to hear that! Happy New Year to you too!
Beautiful bracelet. Thank you for sharing
You're welcome!
i am taking on this bracelet as my first project but not knowing the right size an type of needle and what kind and size of thread to use has made me start over several times.Your info on needles was wonderful and it solves part of my problem but I am still confused about thread. I purchased 0.35 mm silk thread and have trouble passing more than once through the size 11 beads. I went up to size 10 beads and that seems to work. What size and material makes for good beading thread?
Thanks
Suzanne
Hi Suzanne,
I’m so glad to hear that you are using my bracelet as your first project. I typically use Fireline or Wildfire for my beadweaving projects. Try using a 6lb or 8lb Fireline. 0.35mm thread will be too thick for smaller seed beads like size 11 or 15. The 10lb Wildfire thread I am using now is 0.15mm. I do appreciate your question though because it helps me to know what information to include in the future, so thank you for taking the time to leave a comment! I hope my answer has helped you.
