Let's make a pair of beaded star earrings today, shall we?
Earring patterns are the best because they're usually so quick and easy to make. And bonus, you don't need a lot of materials.
This tutorial is called Star Earrings. You'll need bugle beads, pearls and some size 11 seed beads.
These cute earrings would make great jewelry gifts. So whip up a few pairs, box them up and give them away for Christmas.
The tutorial is suitable for all skill levels.
BEADED STAR DANGLE EARRINGS TUTORIAL

Materials
- 24 round pearls, 3mm (A)
- 34 size 11 seed beads (B)
- 24 bugle beads, 4mm (C) (You could also use 6mm)
- 2 Earring hooks
- 2 jump rings (optional)
- 1 yard of beading thread
- 1 size 12 beading needle
- Thread burner or sharp scissors
- Bead mat
Here is the full written tutorial for the star-shaped earrings:
STar drop earrings Instructions
Step 1: Thread your needle with 18 inches of beading thread.
Leaving a 4-inch tail, string 6A.
Go back through all the beads from the tail end to turn them into a circle.
Exit through 1A past the tail thread.
Step 2: String 1B, 1C, 1A and 1B.
Step 3: Skip the last 1B strung and pass through the next 1A.
Pull the thread tight so the beads are snug against the existing beadwork.
Step 4: String 1C and 1B.
Pass through the 1A in the ring of beads from the side opposite where your thread is exiting in Step 1.
Step 5: Continue through the following 1A in the ring of beads.
Step 6: String 1B, 1C, 1A and 1B.
Step 7: Skip the last 1B strung and pass through the next 1A.
Pull the thread tight so the beads are snug against the existing beadwork.
Step 8: String 1C.
Pass through the 1B in the previous peak added and the 1A where you started in Step 5.
Step 9: Continue through the following 1A in the ring of beads.
Step 10: Repeat Steps 6-9 three more times.
Step 11: Continue through the next 1B in the first peak added.
Step 12: String 1C, 1A and 1B.
Step 13: Skip the last 1B strung and go through the following 1A.
Pull the thread tight so the beads are snug against the beadwork.
Step 14: String 1C.
Go through the 1B in the previous peak added and the 1A in the ring of beads.
Step 15: Continue through the next 1C, 1A and 1B in the next peak.
Step 16: String 2B and one earring hook (with optional jump ring attached - Not shown in photo).
Step 17: Go back through the last 1B strung.
Step 18: String 2B.
Pass through the 1B from the side opposite where you started in Step 15.
Reinforce the earring hook.
Weave the working and tail threads into the beadwork. Tie several half-hitch knots and remove the excess.
Step 19: Repeat all the steps to complete the second earring.
Your earrings are now complete!
