Use these free video tutorials to create your own DIY beaded fringe earrings.
I personally wear earrings more than any other type of jewelry… besides my watch. If you’re anything like me, then you probably have several pairs too.
Embellishing with fringe is a simple way to liven up any type of jewelry. It adds movement and texture to what could otherwise be a boring piece.

1. Brick Stitch Earrings with Straight Fringe by DV Beautiful
One of the most common types of beaded fringe you’ll see used to decorate earrings is straight fringe.
What I like about this particular beading project is that the designer made the fringe asymmetrical. This gives a bit a punch to a popular style.
To create these earrings, you’ll need the following:
- 11/0 seed beads – 2 colors
- 3mm bicone (20)
- Beading needle No.10
- Beading thread
- A pair of ear wire hooks
2. Brick Stitch Earrings With Looped Fringe By DV Beautiful
Instead of the traditional straight fringe, try adding some looped fringe to your earrings.
This video tutorial demonstrates how to create brick stitch beadwork and then, shows you how to add multiple beaded loops along one edge. The change of seed bead colors in each loop really spices up the earrings as well.
Here’s the materials list for this project:
- 11/0 seed beads : 4 colors
- Beading needle No.10
- Beading thread
- A pair of ear wire hooks
3. Brick Stitch Earrings With Picot Fringe by DV Beautiful
Picot fringe is a beautiful and subtle method of embellishment. It also hides threads along the edges of your beadwork really nicely.
This pattern uses circular brick stitch to create a kind of fan shape that’s very pretty.
Below are the materials you’ll need:
- 6mm closed rings or jump rings sealed with glue (2)
- 11/0 seed beads: 4 colors (optional)
- 3mm pearl or round beads (24)
- A pair of ear wire hooks
- Beading needle
- Beading thread
